The topics will be organized around the theme of human impact on the environment.  Throughout the year we will come back to this theme by studying sustainable living systems.

 

Needed Supplies

The following things should be brought to class daily:

      Scientific calculator, Spiral Lab Notebook, Paper, Pencils and Pens.

Grades

Your grade will be determined by (1) Exams and Quizzes, (2) Labs and (3) Homework, Labs, etc.  Exams will be 45% of your semester quarter grade, labs 35% of your quarter grade and your homework will be 20% of your quarter grade.  The semester finals will be 20% of the semester grade.

Grading curve:

         A= 100-89       B= 88-79         C=78-69          D= 68-59         F= 58 or less

Posting Grades:  Grades will be posted on-line using your student ID number approximately four times a semester.

Make-up Policy

You have one day for every day you are absent to make-up an exam.  If you miss a lab you need to make-up that lab within a week of when the class completed the lab because I teach other classes besides Chemistry.  

 

No Electronic Devices should be out or on when in the classroom except for a scientific calculator.
