What will I learn:

 Advanced acting skills

 Use of body and voice as a tool for acting

 Audition techniques

 Production responsibilities

 Ensemble building,

 

  What will I do:

 Participate fully in all class activities and assignments

 Work as a member of an acting ensemble

 Voice work

 Physical warm ups

 Auditions for class play

 Cast the play

 Work in a production group

 Perform a major play for the general public

 Communication exercises

 Several after school rehearsal


Grading system:  

I use a straight points system. Grades are compiled from daily
work, scene presentations, written work and tests. Attendance and
promptness are REQUIRED in daily participation. You may have up to 3 excused
absences with out losing points. After 3 all absences will be treated as unexcused
and you will receive no daily points for that day. 

100-90%= A
89-80%=B
79-70%=C
69-60%=D
59% and lower = F

Performance Seminar important dates:

 

Deadlines:

All lines off book by April 12.

All props, costumes, sets, and publicity finished and ready to pint by May 4 .

                     All publicity printed and displayed by May 11.

                     

 

After school and weekend rehearsals:

There will be eleven mandatory rehearsals held outside of class time. They will be after school from 3:00 to 5:30 and one Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

These are the dates:

May14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, (Sat. 10am to 3 pm) 21, 22, 23, 24, 25. 

Please note there will be one Saturday afternoon rehearsal from 10 AM to 3 PM on May 19.

We will perform 1 preview and 6 shows: here are the dates and times: Final Dress May 25,

Opening night May 29 at 7 pm

                Show #2 May 30 at 7 pm

                 Show#3 May 31 at 7 pm

                Show#4 June 1 at 7 pm

                Show #5 June 2 at 2: pm

                Show #6 June 2 at 7: pm
