HW 2/16/2010:
A. Read chapter 14.3
B. Answer the following questions (will be handed in):
1. Re-define "federal regulation" in
your own words (the book definition is not very good...). Also, what is the
intent of a federal regulation? (Remember, this is an inference question.)
2. Based on what you read here and in 14.1/14.2, describe what you perceive to be the role of the federal government under the "Old Deal." (The "Old Deal" is not a real government program... I'm just using it to define the pre-New Deal era)
3. Review the chart about New Deal agencies twice by yourself. Keep in mind you'll have an oral final about these ideas, and this reading will directly aid you in answering those questions.
C. Prepare for chapter 14 reading quiz!
