¡A ESTUDIAR!
Below are hints, websites, and studying tips:
AT HOME
¡Sí! Home ¡NO!
Learning a foreign language is like learning how to walk. Take small steps, try again and again, get up when you fall and don't give up! One day you will master the Spanish language!
| Practice the vocabulary and structures used in class at least 10 minutes each day. Create flashcards, lists of phrases, anything that will help you study the vocabulary every day. | |
| Think Spanish!!!! If we talk in class about activities in the house, think Spanish when you do these activities at home...¿Cómo se dice en español? Just think Spanish!!!! | |
| Practice conversations that we had in class in front of the mirror or while in the car. | |
| Find Spanish websites to practice vocabulary and grammar. | |
| Do homework! | |
| If you have questions write them down, so we can discuss them in class. | |
| Record yourself speaking Spanish and listen to the tape. Compare with pronunciation of words in class. | |
| Review PowerPoint Presentations used in class. | |
| ¡La práctica hace la perfección! |
| Take notes and listen carefully while class is in progress. Listening to interactions in the class will help you acquire the correct pronunciation, sentence structure, and will increase your vocabulary. | |
| Try to use the Spanish language at all times, even when you feel the urge of socializing with your friends. Remember, "¡ESPAñOL O NADA!" | |
| When working in groups, maintain the conversation in Spanish. Repeat small conversations in groups many times or until your teacher tells you to move into the next activity. Do not switch into English!!! | |
| Ask questions if you feel lost, we are all learning. | |
| Feel at ease when speaking in class. We all make mistakes when we are learning a foreign language. |
|
Think, read, speak, write, dream Spanish! |
