Community Service Elementary Tutoring Opportunity NHS Members tutor elementary students on a weekly basis at both Oak Creek Elementary and Uplands Elementary. Interested? Get more info and signup by clicking below: I want to volunteer for tutoring! Community Service Reporting All NHS Members are responsible for completing and logging a minimum of 15 hours of community service each school year to remain in good standing. To log hours for the current 2009-2010 school year, click here.
All members need to log hours each year to maintain "Member in Good Standing" status. If you were inducted in the Spring, you can log any hours you completed before your membership toward your 15 hour total for the current school year (even hours your may have listed on your application to NHS could count). You can also log hours completed this summer toward your current year total. Hours completed during the summer could also be applied to next year's community service requirement. Bottom line: Every member has to log 15 hours every year. NHS@LOHS Info
